George Wade, the project manager for Laboratory, was kind enough to share some memories and anecdotes from his involvement with the project.
“The Enchanted Laboratory project still to this day ranks as one of my three most favorite projects. It’s very near and dear to my heart. What Landmark’s creative team was able to do was to create a show that had tremendous heart and soul, and the audience became emotionally attached to the young boy Northrup as a character. We created a show that people were emotionally engaged with on a very stringent budget, and it showed that you don’t need a huge budget to produce a project that’s going to be embraced by the general public.”
