I had the pleasure of speaking with former Northrup actor David John Madore recently.
He was kind enough to pass along a bunch of stories and anecdotes, as well as some wonderful candid photos from the summer of 1998.
The costumes would be drenched with sweat by the end of the 6 or more daily shows, and removing them was the best feeling ever.
There were many good interactions with audience members. Some were lovely. It’s easier to forget about that, but they were often a lot of fun, gasping, laughing, etc. There were hecklers, but we got really good at shutting them down with witty quips and comebacks.
